WECK was originally imported into Japan as a candle case. That is to say, it was imported not as a main actor but as a supporting actor. It hasn’t been long at all since it got attention as a home-canning jar, which is the proper usage of WECK. Originally, in Germany, it was one of the most used daily items, which could be equivalent (to Japanese “plastic container”), and you could de nitely see them when you went to your grandma’s house.
WECK with simple colors and shapes must have looked cool in grandma’s shelf when they were lined up as recycled glasses. Come to think of it, we can see, from the view point of adults, a dozen of milk bottles in a box at school has a nice industrial feeling.
The function and beauty of such daily items has some similarity to universal beauty of the folk crafts. We can discover them in our grandma’s houses.
